We are very much into Bonsai plant cultivation in Malaysia, As a grower, bonsai practitioner, and collector, actively involved with bonsai enthusiasts' activities and participate in the local Bonsai society and activities, road shows, exhibitions, and running small businesses to assist many plant-lovers in town to maintain their bonsai plants, shrubs, trees maintenance which includes garden lawn grass trimming, landscaping works, planting works, including design and built for small gardening works.

Teh Hock Lye is an architect with over 25 years of experience in the design and development industry, who later expanded his expertise into bonsai and landscaping. His passion for bonsai began at the age of 15, when he worked part‑time at a nursery in Penang, and throughout his career he has actively integrated bonsai into landscape projects. In 2019, he joined the Malaysia Bonsai and Suiseki Society (MBSS) and is now serving his second term as Honourable Secretary. Teh played a key role in drafting the successful bid for the 10th World Bonsai Convention, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur in August 2026, and has promoted the event internationally across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

As an active MBSS committee member, he has organized more than 15 nationwide bonsai roadshows, curated exhibitions in premier shopping malls, and lead MBSS attending international convention with large delegations. His mission is to make bonsai accessible to the public, expand the society membership, and ensure the society’s sustainability. Teh’s vision is to bring bonsai beyond the elite, inspiring everyone to cultivate and appreciate nature at home as a way to connect with and understand the essence of Mother Nature.

A renowned Malaysian bonsai master who created powerful artistic bonsai with the ‘unthinkable’ idea. After taking up bonsai in 1997, he studied art through magazines, journals, books, and visits to bonsai events worldwide. He participates in jungle/forest/nature observation.
